Learningful is a place dedicated to fostering and expressing the ART of possibility, particularly as it reflects ~ and responds to ~ our experience of the world around us.

I believe that learning is both a process and an outcome of active engagement with experience, and that imagination is central to making sense of our experience, and to shaping our future.

To be "learningful" is to be open to possibility

Learningful's purpose is to facilitate reflection, inspiration, aspiration, insight and possibility. We hope to do this in two ways:

Through IMAGES. On this site you will find a broad range of photographs and photo-art, organized in galleries by subject area. Each gallery contains a number of images, among which I hope you will discover something that causes you to pause, reflect, rejoice, or otherwise connect with some meaningful part of your life experience. If an image particularly resonates with you, it may be purchased in a variety of formats and sizes.

Through QUOTATIONS. For many years I have been gathering quotes that I find meaningful — quotes that speak to me in some way and, like the images, prompt me to reflect and consider how I think about and respond to the world and people around me. I offer them here — organized by subject matter — in the hope you may also find something meaningful.
